NEWS SELECTION
Latest data on the alumni and company community.
Being part of the Aceleradora AI’s alumni and company community holds great value: over 19,000 of our students are working in the world’s leading companies.
During the past month of June, we surpassed 40,000 students across 152 countries and were contacted by companies from North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia seeking help to introduce Generative AI into their businesses.
Among these companies are the world’s leading technology company and the world’s leading pharmaceutical company.
Video: Elon Musk (CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, X, etc.) on Artificial Superintelligence
Elon Musk warns about the imminent arrival of artificial superintelligence—possibly by 2025—with enormous economic potential but also existential risks. He advocates for AI oriented toward truth and empathy, and reinforces the need to make humanity a multiplanetary species through self-sustaining colonies on Mars. Musk also highlights the advances of Neuralink, which seeks to improve brain-machine interaction, and encourages young entrepreneurs to focus on solving useful problems, think from first principles, and avoid ego, prioritizing positive impact on humanity.
Video: Satya Nadella (CEO of Microsoft) on Microsoft’s AI Strategy
Satya Nadella outlines Microsoft’s vision of artificial intelligence as a practical tool, focused on trustworthy agents with real impact in sectors such as healthcare, education, and productivity. He highlights how AI will transform the role of engineers, who will become architects of intelligent systems, and how Microsoft is adapting its infrastructure to support this new paradigm at massive scale. He also emphasizes the company’s investment in quantum computing as a way to solve complex problems—all with a results-driven approach and a focus on tangible improvements in people’s lives.
Video: Sam Altman (CEO of OpenAI) on the Future of OpenAI
Sam Altman presents an optimistic outlook on the present and future of AI, emphasizing that current models already far exceed what has been leveraged in products, and that their costs are dropping drastically, now enabling significant innovations. He also announces the imminent launch of a surprisingly powerful open-source model and the arrival of GPT-5 this summer, with multimodal capabilities (voice, images, video, code) that will mark a milestone in computational interfaces. He highlights the evolution of intelligent agents into “junior employees” capable of working autonomously for hours and stresses ChatGPT’s memory feature as a first step toward continuous digital companions integrated throughout the day. Finally, he affirms that this is the best time in history to start a venture in AI and encourages founders to build unique products during this disruptive moment.
Video: Sundar Pichai (CEO of Google) on the Future of Online Search with AI
Sundar Pichai offered a clear vision of the future of search and AI at Google. He highlighted the new AI Mode—a conversational format operating alongside classic results—capable of generating personalized answers, interactive graphics, and handling complex queries. He emphasized that, contrary to some concerns, this mode does not reduce traffic to websites but actually increases it by encouraging deeper research. He also expressed enthusiasm for augmented reality, expecting millions of people to try AI-powered AR glasses by 2026. Finally, Pichai envisions a future dominated by AI agents acting as digital intermediaries negotiating personally with businesses, similar to how credit cards operate today. He defended the deep integration of Chrome and Search, warning that separating them could hinder innovation and weaken the web ecosystem.
Video: Andrej Karpathy (Former Director of AI at Tesla and OpenAI) on the Evolution of Programming
Andrej Karpathy reflects on how software development is once again changing in the AI era: now, 90% of the effort goes into the final 10% of polishing that makes a tool truly production-grade—a challenge much more complex than the initial prototyping phase suggests. He argues that effective work with AI involves constant cycles of generation and verification—every line of code created by an AI agent must be audited by humans to avoid bugs or security gaps. He also highlights the value of visual interfaces (such as GUIs) to accelerate validation and notes that keeping “talent under control” is key when working with agents. In summary, Karpathy stresses that although AI’s potential is enormous, the real challenge remains in bringing these technologies to the level of reliability and usefulness required in real-world environments.
Video: Michael Truell (CEO of Cursor) on the Evolution of Programming
Michael Truell (CEO of Anysphere/Cursor) shares his vision of a revolution in software development: instead of writing millions of lines of code, it will soon be possible to build applications using only descriptions. Already today, 40–50% of the code in Cursor is generated by AI, although it still requires human supervision and continuous review. He speaks of “vibe coding” and distinguishes between agile prototypes and complex production environments, where code must be reliable and maintainable. He highlights the challenge of context in large codebases and how future AI will need continuous context, multimodality, and robust visual interfaces. Ultimately, he argues that the irreplaceable value of the engineer will be “taste”: deciding what to build and how it should work—even when AI handles the rest.
